The Best Family Villas in Bali

Here I look at some of the best family villas in Bali to help you create an idyllic and memorable Bali family holiday.

Imagine waking up in the morning, enjoying a leisurely breakfast in your own private poolside alfresco dining area and then taking a dip in your own private pool.

No hustling for sun loungers, no struggling to get the kids dressed on time and no worrying about anyone else but your own family and friends.

That’s villa living in Bali!

Bali Villas for Families

Here I have teamed up with Villa Finder to help find some of the best family friendly villas in Bali. All of these are private pool villas with family friendly facilities.

All of the villas come with staff who can help with housekeeping, babysitting, transport etc (usually at an extra cost). You can also arrange for a private chef to cater for you, either for select occasions or throughout your entire stay, depending on whether you like to dine out or at home.

Note that while all of the villas in our selection feature swimming pools, not all have pool fences. This is common in Bali, and is something to be aware of if you are holidaying with small children.

Villa Finder can help provide pool fences in some of the properties – enquire with them directly for further help. Baby cots and high chairs are also available on request.

For this article I have concentrated on the most popular areas for Bali family villas – Seminyak and Canggu in the south, Ubud in the mountains, Lovina in the north and Candidasa in the East.

The top family villas selected range from 2 bedrooms to six bedroom, from modern to traditional architecture, from simple to luxurious villas and everything in between. If you don’t see what you like here, then you can check out the huge range of villas on offer on the Villa Finder website

Family villas in Seminyak

Seminyak is the high-end restaurant, shopping and spa capital of Bali. It is a great option if you love to dine out and shop as you have everything on your doorstep.

Although my personal favourite place to stay, the downside of Seminyak for families is the beaches – the waves are usually too rough for kids and the black sand is less appealing than those white sandy stretches in Nusa Dua.

For this reason, staying in a private villa with a pool is perfect for families wanting to stay in Seminyak.

Here’s my pick of the best family friendly villas in Seminyak.

Villa Sanook

4 bedrooms. Sleeps 8.

Villa Sanook is a beautiful 4-bedroom contemporary villa in the heart of Seminyak, its central location making it an easy stroll from shops, restaurants and the beach.

With two master bedrooms and two guest bedrooms this Seminyak villa is perfect for two families holidaying together, or for a break with the extended family. All bedrooms are air-conditioned and come with ensuite bathrooms and TVs for maximum privacy.

We particularly love the semi-open bathrooms in the Master bedrooms with their open air rainforest showers for that typically Balinese experience.

The sizeable swimming pool has a shallow end, ideal for kids to play and sun loungers for some chilling in the sun. A pool fence is also available free of charge if you are traveling with small kids.

Two living areas allow for parents to relax while the kids watch TV separately, and the villa also features a spacious kitchen and dining area.

Family Villas in Lovina

Located on the north coast of Bali, Lovina is famous for its black sand beaches and dolphin watching. It is becoming a popular destination for those wishing for a quiet and secluded holiday.

A tranquil getaway, without the hustle and bustle of the south, Lovina beach is calm and shallow and there is also a water park here.

Being a bit more off the beaten track, your choice of restaurants and shops are more limited here, making it a great option for a private villa with a chef.

Here’s my pick of the best family friendly villas in Lovina.

Villa Bloom
