Here we highlight some of the best indoor places for kids in Singapore.

Singapore’s Indoor Playgrounds

There are loads of indoor playgrounds in Singapore to choose from. Singapore does these very well and they are hugely popular with the local population.

Most have onsite cafes where mum and dad can take a load off while the kids play, and kids can refuel mid-play – some even serve wine! Most of these fun places in Singapore have free WiFi too.

Bring a pair of socks for everyone and be prepared to have the kids’ temperature taken and hands sanitized before you can enter.

Buds by Shangri-La

This fabulous Singapore hotel kids club has several interactive play zones, including an art room for painting, music room with karaoke and even a fully equipped kitchen for baking classes.

There’s a ball pit with slides and ‘cannons’ for pelting each other with balls and plenty of space to run around. The fun extends to an outdoor playground with a pirate-ship and adjacent to this, a super fun water playground, featuring fountains, water guns and tipping buckets.

Parents visiting Singapore with a toddler will appreciate the toddler zone, complete with swings, slide, ride-ons and a ball pit. There is also an on-site café where you can sip on a coffee as you supervise them.

Entry to Buds by Shangri-La is free for all guests staying on the family floor within the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore. Other guests and non-hotel residents will need to pay for entry. A discount is given to non-resident guests who are dining in one of the hotel restaurants or using the hotel spa.

Amazonia Singapore

Located within Great World City shopping mall in the River Valley/Robertson Quay area, this five-level play gym in Singapore occupies 9,000 square feet of space.

Highlights include the 8-metre high slide, space ball shootout, 3D glow crazy golf and the jungle play gym.

If you are looking for toddler activities in Singapore, there is a separate toddler play zone with ball pit and also plenty of toys and games, including Lego, play kitchens and building blocks.

There is an onsite café, and several other food & beverage options within Great World City shopping mall.

Cool de Sac

Located within Suntec City shopping mall and handy for the Marina Bay area, Cool de Sac is another of our favourite indoor kids playgrounds in Singapore.

It has lots of fun stations to keep the kids happy, including Lego building, arts and crafts, dress-ups and performing arts stations.

More active kids will enjoy the tree house, slides and climbing equipment, while older kids and tweens usually gravitate towards the gaming area, filled with a choice of consoles and interactive games.

There’s an onsite café with a good view of the play areas, and they even serve wine and beer for weary parents in need of sustenance.

KidZania

This award-winning global ‘edutainment’ attraction on Sentosa Island is one of the most fun places to go in Singapore for kids, featuring 7,600 square metres of role-play fun. A realistic indoor ‘city’ allows children to choose between occupations and activities, and learn about key values and life skills through role-play.

There are more than 60 role-play activities to choose from. Save the day as a fireman, help the sick as a doctor, or protect the streets as a policeman. There’s even a full-winged fuselage of a Boeing 737 to marvel at.

You are recommended to book ahead for KidZania as it has a capacity and it fills up quickly at weekends and on school holidays.

This Singapore indoor attraction is best suited for kids aged 4 and above.

The Polliwogs

The Polliwogs is one of the most popular indoor activities for toddlers and young kids in Singapore.

There are two of these kids and toddler playgrounds in Singapore, located in the shopping malls Vivocity and Suntec City. Handy if you want to convince the kids to head to the mall for a spot of retail therapy!

The Polliwogs entertainment is all based around soft play climbing equipment, with plenty of nooks and crannies for kids to explore. There is an onsite cafe and parents can even watch their kids from here thanks to the CCTV screens!

Waka Waka

This safari themed indoor children’s playground in Singapore is located next to the Furama Riverfront hotel in River Valley.

There’s a dedicated toddler zone, with mini slides and a bouncy castle, while for older kids there is an obstacle rope adventure course, rock climbing and totem course.

Add to this a fun maze of soft play climbing equipment and everyone’s a winner at this kids play area in Singapore.

Parents are welcome to join the fun on the ropes course, or hang out in the onsite bistro with free WiFi.

Pororo Park

Fans of Pororo Penguin shouldn’t miss this cute themed toddler indoor playground in Singapore. Not familiar with the Korean animation Pororo the Little Penguin? Never mind, head to this kids play area in Singapore and you will soon be converted!

Most suited to younger kids, here you will find a ball pit, and indoor soft play climbing area with tunnels and slides and even a mini train – the Pororo Express! There is also a mini supermarket and a separate toddler zone.

Future World at ArtScience Museum

The ArtScience Museum is one of our places to visit in Singapore for kids. They always have exciting and forward-thinking touring exhibitions here, so definitely check out their programme of events.

But what my kids love most of all here is their permanent exhibition, Future World: where art meets science.

The ArtScience Museum proudly claim this to be Singapore’s largest interactive digital playground, and it is a great choice of where to bring kids in Singapore on a rainy day.

It offers loads of hands-on fun at its selection of interactive digital installations. Factor in a good couple of hours for this exhibition alone; my kids never want to leave!

Top Tip: If you visit on a Friday, up to 4 children under the age of 12 go free with every adult ticket purchased.

Amped Trampoline Park

Who doesn’t love bouncing on a trampoline? Trampolining is one of the most popular indoor activities in Singapore for kids, and Amped is the most centrally located of Singapore’s trampoline parks, located just behind Roberston Quay.

Here both kids and adults can burn off their energy with 35 inter-connected trampolines, a slam dunk zone, gladiator pit, dodge ball, foam pit and parkour wall. Fun!
