Singapore’s Best Family-Friendly Attractions

Singapore is an excellent place to visit with the kids in tow. Firstly, anyone who lives in Hong Kong will appreciate that everywhere in Singapore is buggy friendly – imagine that! No need to carry the buggy up flights of steps or resort to using the baby carrier all day (besides, it’s way too hot and sweaty in Singapore to walk round with a baby strapped to you). Plus, nearly all restaurants are child-friendly, and the majority of malls have excellent baby care facilities. Oh, and there are a whole host of fabulous family-friendly attractions.

Singapore Family attractionsA visit to the Singapore Zoo should be at the top of your list. Often regarded as one of the best zoos in the world, you could spend an entire day here marveling at the animals in their spacious landscaped enclosures and watching the range of animal-led shows and feedings. An excellent water play area allows everyone to cool off in the steamy afternoon heat. Read our tips for visiting Singapore Zoo with kids here.

The next-door Night Safari also makes for a thrilling visit, as you enter the tropical jungle at night to spy on nocturnal creatures, while across town the beautifully landscaped Jurong Bird Park houses over 8,000 birds and boasts the world’s largest walk-in aviary.

Sentosa Island is family-getaway paradise. ‘Singapore’s Playground’ is jam-packed with kiddy friendly attractions, guaranteed to keep the most energetic of youngsters entertained. Firstly there’s Universal Studios – home to Shrek, movie-themed rides, and the world’s tallest dueling rollercoaster (whatever that means).

Also within Resorts World Sentosa, you will find the Southeast Asia Aquarium – home to the world’s biggest aquarium tank and Adventure Cove Waterpark, where adventure seekers can get wet and wild on a selection of water slides and wave pools. Those with kids too small to ride the waves, should head to Port of Lost Wonder on Palawan Beach, a mega-pirate ship play park, or to the water play area within Gardens By the Bay.

You can buy discounted tickets for many of the Singapore attractions online at Klook. Simply type the attraction you are interested in into the box below:
