A Beachfront Resort Surrounded by Nature
Club Med Borneo will be located on a 17-hectare stretch of beachfront in Kuala Penyu, about 90 minutes from Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
The setting is particularly special. Sabah is famous for its ancient rainforest, wildlife and mangrove ecosystems, and the resort sits right beside a mangrove reserve. Guests will be able to explore both the ocean and jungle environments nearby.
The architecture will also reflect local culture, with the main building inspired by traditional Rungus longhouses found in northern Borneo.
What the Resort Will Offer
The new resort will feature around 400 rooms, including a collection of premium suites in a more private “Exclusive Collection” section.

One of the biggest drawcards for families will be Club Med’s kids’ club programme, which caters to children from 4 months through to 17 years.
Younger kids can join age-appropriate activities and supervised play, while older children and teens can take part in sports, creative workshops and evening entertainment.
The resort will also feature a dedicated splash park and family-friendly pools.

While the resort itself will offer plenty to do, Borneo is best known for its incredible nature and wildlife.
